A virtual 1:1 involves a totally personalised session taking place on zoom where we can work on something you need support with.

Since launching in April 2023, sessions have included:

Q and A session to support a new leader to better understand their role.
Planning a local history unit to ensure it was high-quality, coherent and tied into the wider curriculum.
Supporting an experienced leader to analyse the current curriculum and consider where could be developed next.
Defining and mapping out substantive concepts in a purposeful manner through school.
Creating historical enquiry questions to actively embed the historical discipline.
Using a specific curriculum to consider what assessment could look like.

How to book:

Please complete the following form. This form is to request a 60 minute session to focus on primary history curriculum development. It is not a booking but rather an expression of interest. This is a developing idea which is reflected in the limited spaces offered and reduced cost.

Sessions will run for 60 minutes with an overrun in case it is required. They will cost £60.

The booking is not confirmed until the invoice and confirmation have been sent via email.

I had a 1:1 session with Stuart with the focus being on historical concepts. This was a development point for myself as History lead and he tailored the hour to ensure that it suited my needs.

He clearly explained the important sections of the NC that I had previously missed and discussed how various concepts can be taught through different units, giving examples along the way. We then proceeded to adapt big questions in order to ensure that they had a true historical focus and he also looked at content for various year groups.

So much useful information was crammed into an hour and due to him recording the session, I am now able to re watch before I support other staff members. Would love to book him in for future whole school training sessions due his wealth of knowledge and great delivery!
